Refrigerated Extractor/Dryer®
There
are many uses for compressed air that requires a reduction in the
vaporous contaminants as well as the elimination of all liquids.
Our Refrigerated Extractor/Dryer series will alter the dew
point of compressed air by converting the gaseous water and oil
into liquid form before air passes through the Extractor/Dryer®,
which then removes 99.9% of these unwanted contaminants as liquids.
Once chilled, 99.8% of the oil vapors will condense and be removed,
thus virtually eliminating all of these harmful hydrocarbons. Approximately
95% of the water vapor is also condensed and removed by the Refrigerated
Extractor/Dryer.
The Refrigerated Extractor/Dryer is simple, easy
to operate and will provide years of clean, dry, reduced dew point,
compressed air. The compressed air only comes in contact with non-corrosive
materials making it suitable for use in medical and dental applications.
These units are ideally used at or near the point-of-use.
Once air exits the La-Man Refrigerated Dryer
it is extremely clean and dry. The longer the air travels through
the airline, the better chance it has to experience a change in
temperature. This change is what causes the warm air from the compressor
to cool and condense into moisture. Therefore, the closer our units
are to the end use, the lower the chances are for condensation to
occur after exiting the Extractor/Dryer.
How it Works:
The Refrigerated Extractor/Dryer uses refrigerant cooling
to condense water and vapors in the form of liquid aerosols before
the incoming contaminated air flows through the Extractor/Dryer®.
All liquid contaminates are then removed by the Extractor/Dryer
and continuously drained away. The clean dry air is then reheated
to a usable temperature prior to exiting the device. This ensures
that the dew point of the compressed air is substantially less than
the actual temperature of the air, thus eliminating the possibility
of further condensation in the pipeline. The refrigeration circuit
is factory set for optimum performance, preventing the possibility
of freeze-ups. The operation of the Extractor/Dryer is fully automatic.
In certain high humidity environments, a simple adjustment of the
continuous "Weep
Drain" may be necessary to ensure complete elimination
of all condensed contaminants.

Maintenance:
The filtration for each Refrigerated Dryer is
provided by the patented La-Man Extractor/Dryer®. The Extractor/Dryer
is continuously removing contaminants from the compressed air. As
a result and to ensure clean, dry compressed air, routine servicing
is recommended. To make this process simple, each model has a complete
Service Kit (see specifications for part numbers) which provides
a 1st stage replacement element, 2nd stage replacement element,
cap gaskets, base gasket, and base core (honeycomb).
Why the La-Man Refrigerated Extractor/Dryer?
La-Man's:
- Non-corroding Heat Exchanger
- ABS Enclosure
- 2-Stage Extractor/Dryer filtration
